December 28, 2010 – January 11, 2011

Hosting Churches and Ministries: TBA

About this Itinerary: This is the longest of the itineraries and includes the most countries. We begin in Liberia. We have excellent relations with the Liberians due to their new political leadership and attitudes. Mercy Ships has spent many seasons in Liberia as well, so their presence is very strong and well respected here. Finally, be sure to take some time to enjoy God’s creation in Liberia. They have some rare wildlife that will be a treat to view. We are then off to Sierra Leone which also has a long history of service by Mercy Ships. Sierra Leone also has rich wildlife. We then get to spend a few days in Senegal which is of importance to the African Diaspora due to a beautiful island aptly named Gorree Island where many West African’s were held as slaves. After our time in Senegal, we will be sailing into the Canary Islands for a brief rest before continuing on to Morocco. Morocco is a land of contrasts—from the Bedouin Tribes and exotic souks to high end European communities. We have some interesting connections for those of you interested in this area. Take a look at the pre-trip and shore excursions for some great ideas. This itinerary also sails past the Barbary Coast of Mauritania. The sights of the cliffs and the Canary Islands will be amazing.
